1.Free Fall Lifeboat
- Type: Common Type / Cargo Version, Fire - resistant Type / Tanker Version (with sprinkler system and compressed air system).
- Installation: Usually installed at the bow or stern of the ship, without life - saving and rescue function, and must be used in conjunction with a rescue boat, in line with SOLAS standards.
2.Open Lifeboat
- Does not comply with SOLAS regulations, cannot be used on ocean - going vessels, but can still be used in some inland waters. Some factories can provide CCS certificates, but the standard is the national standard rather than SOLAS. It needs to be used with a gravity davit - type boat rack.
