Product Parameters
Components of Free Fall Life Boat Launching Appliance
Generally, the Free Fall Life Boat Launching Appliance mainly consists of the following parts:
Mechanical Structure Components
1. Launching Ramp: It is the track along which the lifeboat slides into the water. Usually inclined, it enables the lifeboat to slide into the water quickly under the action of gravity.
2. Support Frame: Used to support and fix components such as the launching ramp, ensuring the structural stability of the entire appliance and enabling it to bear the weight and acting forces generated during the use of the lifeboat and related operations.
3. Davit Arm: Some appliances are equipped with movable davit arms, which are used to assist in positioning and retrieving the lifeboat and can adjust the position of the lifeboat within a certain range.
Power and Control Components
1. Winch: Used to hoist the lifeboat from the water and reset it to the stowed position after the lifeboat has completed its mission. It is usually driven by electricity or hydraulics.
2. Hydraulic System: Provides power for the moving parts of the appliance (such as the rotation of the davit arm and the retraction and extension of the winch), making the operation smoother and more controllable, and enabling precise control of the release and retrieval of the lifeboat.
Safety - Assurance Components
1. Limit Switches: Prevent components such as the launching ramp and davit arm from exceeding the normal range of motion, avoiding accidents such as collisions and overturns, and ensuring the safety of equipment and personnel.
2. Braking Device: Can apply braking as needed during the release of the lifeboat, or fix the position of the lifeboat after retrieval to prevent accidental sliding.
3. Safety Hooks: Used to firmly connect the lifeboat to the appliance when the lifeboat is stowed, ensuring that the lifeboat will not accidentally slide off during navigation.
