Life rafts are simpler to deploy compared to lifeboats. In an emergency, simply toss the life raft into the water. Once the life raft sinks to a depth of 2-4 meters below the surface, the hydrostatic pressure release mechanism will automatically trigger, releasing the life raft's tether, allowing it to float freely.
