SCBA Positive Pressure Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Fireman Air Respirator
SCBA, which stands for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, is a critical piece of safety gear utilized by paramedics, firefighters, and employees working on ships and offshore oil platforms.
Wearing Instructions:
1. Place the mask around your neck using the neck strap.
2. Lift the tank so that the tank valve is at the top, and the back panel faces you. Raise it above yourhead, extend your arms, and slide the strap over your shoulders. Secure the belt and tighten the shoulder straps.
3. Slide your arms through the shoulder straps, position the back panel on your back with the tank valve facing downward, then pull the straps snug and fasten the waist belt.
4. Gently turn the handwheel counterclockwise to open the cylinder valve.
5. Verify the pressure on the pressure gauge.
6. Fully release all mask straps. Hold your breath, place your chin in the mask, and pull the headband and straps over your head.
7. Ensure the mask fits snugly on your face, position the nose guard over your nose, then tighten the upper straps first, followed by the lower straps. Both sides' straps should be pulled taut together.
8. Begin taking deep breaths; this will create positive pressure, then start breathing slowly.
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Routine maintenance of products
Regular inspection and maintenance are essential to ensure the SCBA unit's proper functionality. Periodically examine the back panel, shoulder straps, and waistband for signs of damage, and always keep these components fully extended.
Inspect the mask straps and other rubber parts for any potential damage. Clean the mask with a gentle disinfectant and rinse it under a flowing water source. Make sure it's thoroughly dry before use. Additionally, perform a pre-use check after each maintenance procedure.
