Gravity inverted arm davit is a rotating type davit.
When the boat is lowered, the davit arm rotates around the pin at the lower end of the boat frame, causing the davit arm to tilt outward and lift the boat outboard.
This kind of davit has a simple force on the fulcrum and no outward movement when the davit arm is tilted outboard.
When the ship is in severe working conditions with an internal heel of 20° and a trim of 10°, the davit arm will not cause jamming.
Since a davit is only supported by two fulcrums, even if the ship's deck is damaged and deformed, the davit arm can still be easily rotated outboard, which is less likely to cause jamming, and the speed of launching the boat is also faster, which is very important for launching the boat.
