Description
Gravity luffing arm type davit is a kind of rotating type davit. When the boat is released, the davit arm rotates around the pin at the lower end of the davit , so that the davit arm tilts outward and lifts the boat outboard, so it is also called single pivot davit.
This kind of davit has simple force on the pivot during the process of davit arm falling outboard, and there is no outward movement. When the ship is in the bad working condition of 20°of inboard and 10°of longitudinal tilt, the davit arm will not cause sticking phenomenon.
Since there are only two pivots to support a pair of davits, even when the ship is damaged and the deck is deformed, the davit arm can still be easily turned outboard and not cause sticking, and the speed of davit release is also faster, which provides a reliable guarantee for davit release safety.
Gravity luffing arm type davit is simple in structure, convenient in manufacture, easy in operation and reliable in work, so they are widely used, but the height of the davit arm and the storage height of the boat are high.
