Life Raft Inflation Method:

In case the life raft needs to be deployed from the sinking vessel, it can automatically inflate and unfold. Even if the ship rapidly submerges, preventing the manual deployment of the life raft, it will still surface due to the hydrostatic pressure release mechanism, initiating automatic inflation and expansion.

 



Life raft storage location

Liferafts must be stored in a manner that allows for the individual manual release of one liferaft or container. For davit-launched liferafts, they should be placed within the crew's reach of the davit hook.

This placement should not hinder their operation due to the ship's movement, inclination, or potential electrical failures. In the case of liferafts intended for throw-in launches, they should be conveniently positioned along the vessel's sides to facilitate easy transfer when needed for launch.
